DigiLabs Soft Proofing and Hard Proofing

We specialize in midsize orders and our customers include some of the largest and most known companies in the US.

What starts the proofing process?

  • Calendar orders over 50 calendars automatically enter DigiLabs soft proofing stage.
  • Calendars order over 100 calendars automatically enter the soft proofing stage and also receive a hard proof prior to production.. Business calendars, Promotional calendars
  • The initial proofing process cost nothing.

Why Do We Use This Process?
  • This process gives you a final chance to review your file before production and is a great time to catch those final adjustments that can make your calendar perfect.
  • Use the soft proof to show other people involved in the project what the final product will look like.
  • We've found that having that extra set of eyes, someone who hasn't been working on the project, review it turns up suggestions that would otherwise not be noticed until post production.

How does the process work?

  • Once you have placed your order you will receive an e-mail outlining the steps.
  • This e-mail contains a link to view your project PDF and recommendations for viewing.
  • The soft proof process can be repeated as many times as necessary to ensure that you're happy.
  • Once you have approved the soft proof your order is sent to production. Your project will be completed in full if you have ordered 51-100 copies. If your order is over 100 copies will will send you a printed product to approve prior to production.
  • If you have entered the hard proofing process you will receieve a form with your hard proof asking for approval of this file.

Proofing Recommendations

  • Have someone not familiar with the project review the file. An extra set of eyes can be valuable and if you've been looking at the project for a few hours it's easy to miss something.
  • Review the project in reverse. Start on the last page of your project and work backwards. Seeing things out of order will help your brain see things in a different light.
  • Take your time. We use this proofing process to ensure that you've had a chance to ask any questions and review your file. Use this chance.
  • Don't review the file when you're tired. You'll have a tendency to rush and you won't see things as clearly.
